Legacy Forest Defense Coalition

The Legacy Forest Defense Coalition is a Tacoma, Washington nonprofit working to stop the clearcutting of the state's remaining older, unplanted legacy forests. It uses research, education, litigation and advocacy, scouting out, documenting and photographing high priority legacy forests threatened by logging, and challenging state timber sales through legal action and the public comment process. Its focus is low elevation forest remnants across Western Washington and the Puget Sound region.
