Lawrence Bird Alliance

Lawrence Bird Alliance is the National Audubon Society chapter serving Lawrence, Douglas County, and surrounding communities in eastern Kansas. It works to build greater understanding and appreciation of birds and other wildlife, encourage sustainable practices, and advocate for actions and policies that protect and preserve intact ecosystems. Its programs include monthly field trips to local birding locations, monthly presentations at the Baker Wetlands Discovery Center offered both in person and on Zoom, bi-annual bird seed sales, the Christmas bird count, and free birding and bird-friendly gardening guides for northeastern Kansas.
