Lamprey River Wateshed Association

The Lamprey River Watershed Association is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) based in Lee, New Hampshire, dedicated to the conservation, restoration and wise use of the natural resources of the Lamprey River Watershed. Formed in 1983, it helped make the Lamprey one of the first rivers accepted into the NH Rivers Management and Protection Program and worked with Newmarket, Durham and Lee toward the river's 1996 federal Wild and Scenic designation. Its volunteers run annual summer water quality monitoring at ten sites in coordination with NHDES's VRAP program and the NH Water Resources Research Center at UNH, and it hosts seminars and workshops on land management and watershed health.
