Lake Worth Waterkeeper

Lake Worth Waterkeeper works to protect and restore the Lake Worth Lagoon and its surrounding waters, from Lake Okeechobee to offshore, and to defend the lagoon's role in the greater Everglades ecosystem. It runs weekly bacteria testing across the lagoon and the Chain of Lakes, which it describes as the most extensive bacteria monitoring program for these waters. It also runs the LaGoonies education programs for children and adults, a fishing club, a Horseshoe Crab Watch, and policy advocacy, and is a member of the Waterkeeper Alliance.
