Lake Watch Of Lake Martin

Lake Watch of Lake Martin is an all-volunteer nonprofit formed in 1991 to preserve and improve the water quality of Lake Martin in Alabama and the streams and Tallapoosa River above it. Volunteer monitors certified through Alabama Water Watch run chemical and bacteriological testing at swimming sites, with results published as color-coded advisories through the Swim Guide program. The group works with Auburn University, Alabama Power, and the Alabama Department of Environmental Management on lake studies and watershed stewardship education.
