Lake Stewards Of Maine

Lake Stewards of Maine works to protect Maine lakes and promote lake stewardship through widespread citizen participation in gathering and sharing credible scientific information about lake health. It trains, certifies and supports volunteer monitors statewide who measure water quality indicators such as Secchi transparency, dissolved oxygen and temperature, screen lakes for invasive aquatic plants and animals, and track cyanobacteria blooms and ice-in and ice-out dates. The organization is based in Auburn, Maine.
