Lake Region Audubon Society

Lake Region Audubon Society is a chapter of the National and Florida Audubon Societies based in Winter Haven, Florida, serving the Polk County lake region. Its work spans conservation, including habitat restoration and enhancement and participation in local government environmental decisions, and education aimed at helping the community understand why protecting the environment matters. Members take part in bird and butterfly censuses, the Christmas Bird Count and Project FeederWatch, and the chapter runs a Bird Club plus workshops on nature art, landscaping and photography.
