The Owassa Headwaters Foundation is a Sussex County, New Jersey nonprofit formed in 2022 to protect Lake Owassa, Culver Lake, Dry Brook, and the upper Paulinskill River, the glacial headwaters that feed the Delaware River. It monitors water quality for phosphorus, cyanobacteria, and sediment loading, and works with local agencies and property owners on stormwater practices such as rain gardens and riparian buffers. It also runs community education and outreach on watershed conservation.
