The Lake Onota Preservation Association (LOPA) is a volunteer organization working to preserve and restore Onota Lake, a 617-acre great pond within the city of Pittsfield, Massachusetts. Its stated purpose is to provide charitable, scientific and educational support to the City of Pittsfield on matters affecting the lake. LOPA has monitored lake conditions for over 20 years, publishing annual reports, and works on invasive species such as zebra mussels, aquatic vegetation, water quality, fisheries and wildlife, watershed protection, and boater safety education.
