Lake Katherine Nature Center And Botanic Gardens

Lake Katherine Nature Center and Botanic Gardens manages an 85 acre park in Palos Heights, Illinois containing a 10 acre lake, woodlands, prairie, wetlands, and more than a dozen gardens. The park is owned and supported by the City of Palos Heights and run by the nature center, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Its focus is environmental education and reconnecting people with nature, serving nearly 5,000 grade school students a year alongside public programs, live animal encounters, boat rentals, and roughly six miles of trails.
