Lake Forest Open Lands Association

Lake Forest Open Lands is an independent land trust founded in 1967 that stewards ecologically healthy open lands in perpetuity and preserves them as places accessible to all. It has preserved, restored, and maintained more than 1,100 acres of native landscape in Lake Forest, Illinois, and in 2009 became the first Illinois land trust accredited by the Land Trust Accreditation Commission. Alongside land stewardship it runs conservation education, volunteer programs, youth and family events, and summer camps from its Nagel Campus and Conservation Campus.
