The Lake Erie Islands Nature and Wildlife Center states its mission as promoting conservation of and education about the flora, fauna, and lands of the Lake Erie Islands ecosystem. From its site on South Bass Island at Put-in-Bay, Ohio, it runs a public center with a turtle pond, live animals, an observation beehive, a birdwatching window, and geology displays, plus nature camps, school group visits, community science projects, and events including Monarch Fest and Island Green Week.
