Lake County Audubon Society

Lake County Audubon Society is an all-volunteer National Audubon chapter in Lake County, Illinois, working to connect people with nature by promoting appreciation, enjoyment, and understanding of birds, wildlife and the natural world. It runs guided bird walks at local hotspots, monthly programs with guest speakers, and birdscaping projects that establish native flowers, grasses, trees, and shrubs for birds and wildlife. Its community science work includes bluebird nest box monitoring, breeding bird surveys, the Christmas Bird Count, and endangered piping plover monitoring.
