The Lake Boon Association, incorporated in 1921 as the Lake Boon Improvement Association, works to preserve, protect and enhance the environmental, aesthetic, recreational and economic value of Lake Boon, which straddles Stow and Hudson, Massachusetts. Its education work centers on water quality and invasive nuisance weed control, including guidance on steps individual lakeside households can take to slow the lake's deterioration. It also runs community events such as the water carnival, boat parades and paddle races, and publishes the Lake Boon Gazette newsletter.
