Lake Advocates

Lake Advocates is a 501(c)(3) that advocates and facilitates scientifically based lake protection, management, and restoration, delivered through a network of experienced lake professionals. It supports federal, state, and local agencies and lake organizations with applied research, policy development, training, case studies, and leadership development, arguing that plans and projects should use proven techniques and produce tangibly healthier lakes. It also publishes the Lake Management Best Practices series, including volumes on managing algae problems and on alum treatment for phosphorus control.
