KTK-BELT builds biodiversity conservation and environmental education programs in eastern Nepal around the idea of a Vertical University, a living classroom spanning the elevation between Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve and Mount Kanchenjunga, where local farmers teach indigenous knowledge. Its work includes biodiversity inventories, a network of Learning Grounds serving as micro conservation hubs, place-based outdoor curricula, school partnerships, and a spring revival initiative. It works across the Morang, Sunsari, Dhankuta, Taplejung, and Sankhuwasabha districts.
