Founded in 1884, the Kingston Improvement Association is an all-volunteer nonprofit working to preserve historic Kingston Village in South Kingstown, Rhode Island, improve the safety and welfare of its residents, and promote the village as a historical center for public enjoyment. Its members advocate for the village before the South Kingstown Town Council and at Planning and Zoning Board meetings, and it runs annual community events including Kingston Fair Day and Holiday in Kingston. It also owns and stewards Potter Memorial Wood, 65 acres of meadow and woodland given in 1933, which volunteers maintain for passive recreation and on which the association is working to place a perpetual conservation easement.
