Kent County Conservancy

Kent County Conservancy is a Dover, Delaware nonprofit that conserves outstanding natural areas, stream corridors, woodlands, working lands, connectors between already protected lands, and small sites with unique features across Kent County. It works primarily with landowners through conservation easements, legally binding agreements that keep land in its natural state while the owner retains ownership. Recent work includes partnering with Delaware's Division of Parks and Recreation to add wetland parcels to Fork Branch Nature Preserve, one of Dover's last remaining natural areas and home to a stand of old growth American beech.
