Kawanee Gardens Mutual Irrigation Company delivers irrigation water to its shareholders in the Kawanee Gardens neighborhood of Lakewood, Colorado, between Iris and Estes streets and 20th and 26th avenues. It draws from the Agricultural Ditch and Reservoir Company, which in turn draws from Clear Creek in Jefferson County, and distributes proportional shares on a published schedule that typically runs from late April through October. Established in 1928 and incorporated in Colorado in 1953, it also serves as a carrier ditch for other local ditch shareholders.
