Kansas City River Trails

Kansas City River Trails is a Missouri not-for-profit corporation created to improve project efficiency, establish amenities, run programs, and maintain the Riverfront Heritage Trail, a bi-state bicycle and pedestrian trail system in Kansas City. The organization grew out of a coalition of public and private stakeholders, including Kansas City, Missouri, the Unified Government of Wyandotte County and Kansas City, and the Port Authority of Kansas City. The trail is designed to reconnect people with the Kansas and Missouri Rivers, provide a non-polluting alternative means of transportation, and stimulate downtown growth through greenspace development.
