Kansans for Conservation is a statewide coalition working to secure long term, dedicated funding for conservation in Kansas, organized around working lands, wildlife, outdoor recreation and environmental education. It began in 2017 as an informal group discussing the need for a state conservation fund, ran a feasibility study and needs assessment, and incorporated as a 501(c)(4) in 2022. Its members now number more than 60 organizations, and it advocates at the statehouse for conservation funding legislation.
