Joyner Harris Forest Conservation

Wake Forest Conservation Foundation, which began in August 2022 as the grassroots Joyner-Harris Forest Conservation campaign, works to safeguard biodiverse habitats and promote sustainable growth in Wake Forest, North Carolina and surrounding northern communities. It started around a 68-acre forest and wetland property near E. Carroll Joyner Park that was slated for residential development, and after that campaign rebranded in June 2025 to address conservation across the wider region. It advocates for conservation-based development practices and engages residents in stewardship.
