Jefferson County Farmland Protection Board

The Jefferson County Farmland Protection Board works to protect productive farmland for future generations in order to maintain the long-term viability of agriculture in Jefferson County, West Virginia. Established under West Virginia State Code 8A-12-1, it acquires and holds conservation easements on working farms, treating agricultural land as a core part of the county's economy, landscape, and community identity. It is one of the county programs in the West Virginia Farmland Protection System, with an office in Kearneysville.
