The Jane Goodall Institute is a science-driven, community-led conservation organization advancing Dr. Jane Goodall's vision of hope through action, headquartered in Washington, DC. Its programs cover long-term animal behavior research at the Gombe Stream Research Center in Tanzania, chimpanzee rescue and welfare at the Tchimpounga Sanctuary in the Republic of Congo, and community-led conservation and forest restoration across the chimpanzee range in Africa. It also runs Jane Goodall's Roots and Shoots, a youth action program operating in dozens of countries.
