Iowa Agricultural Mitigation is a nonprofit umbrella wetland mitigation bank formed in 2010 by Iowans concerned with improving the state's wetlands. It restores, creates, and enhances wetlands and sells the resulting mitigation credits, on a first-come, first-served basis, to landowners needing to offset impacts to farmed wetlands. It is based in Boone, Iowa, with its initial service area in the prairie pothole region of north-central Iowa.
