International Union Of Soil Sciences Inc

The International Union of Soil Sciences is the global union of national soil science societies, founded as the International Society of Soil Science on 19 May 1924. Its stated purpose is to promote all branches of soil science and their application, to connect scientists and practitioners working with soils, and to stimulate and apply scientific research. Scientific work runs through four divisions covering soil in space and time, soil properties and processes, soil use and management, and the role of soils in sustaining society and the environment.
