Indian Lake Hydrilla Response Coalition

The Indian Lake Hydrilla Response Coalition formed in fall 2023 after hydrilla was found in Indian Lake in South Kingstown, Rhode Island, and received 501(c)(3) status in April 2024. It runs lake surveys, works with Rhode Island DEM biologists, and raises money and awareness to keep the invasive plant from covering the lake. It represents roughly 300 households around the lake, including the homeowner associations, the fire district, and independent homeowners.
