Independence Conservancy, Inc.

Independence Conservancy is the only land trust based in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, and serves as the official watershed organization representing Raccoon Creek, which flows through Allegheny, Washington, and Beaver counties into the Ohio River northwest of Pittsburgh. Its work spans watershed conservation, land reclamation, and natural resource preservation. Projects include streambank restoration and wildflower planting, abandoned mine discharge treatment systems, invasive plant suppression, watershed cleanups, and land protection through conservation easements.
