Imagine Haitian works to create environmental sustainability and economic self-sufficiency in Haiti, describing its vision as a future where the mountains of Haiti are verdant and the people are self-sufficient. Its nursery in Gonaives has grown and distributed more than 25,000 trees, including mango, papaya, lemon, and other fruit-bearing varieties, and the group also harvests seeds and teaches young people about conservation. It is a 501(c)(3) with team members in Haiti, Illinois, and Florida.
