The Illinois Climbers Association is a 501(c)(3) that works to protect climbing access and the land it depends on across Illinois. It owns and manages the Holy Boulders near Pomona, repaying a $90,000 conservation loan by 2019, and helped purchase the House Boulders on the western edge of the Shawnee National Forest. Its stewardship work includes systematically replacing fixed anchors with modern stainless steel hardware at Jackson Falls and partnering with state agencies on responsible climbing development.
