I Care Corporation

I.CARE (Islamorada Conservation and Restoration Education) works to restore Florida's Coral Reef by having recreational divers work alongside scientists to transplant and maintain corals and sponges. Non-divers take part through land-based husbandry, education, and outreach. Founded in 2018, it transplanted its first corals to Alligator Reef in January 2021 and operates under permits from the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.
