The Hutchinson River Restoration Project is dedicated to the long-term protection and restoration of the Hutchinson River, which flows from Scarsdale through New Rochelle, Eastchester, Mount Vernon, Pelham and the Bronx into Eastchester Bay and Long Island Sound. It researches and maps sources of shoreline pollution, organizes volunteer cleanups, and partners with other environmental organizations to improve river health. It also runs educational presentations for schools and community groups and advocates for public river access and greenway development.
