The Hudson River Foundation funds and coordinates scientific research on the Hudson River estuary, using the results to inform restoration and management decisions. Its work spans restoring signature fisheries, improving habitat and water and sediment quality, expanding public access and stewardship, and addressing climate change. It administers grant programs and hosts the NY-NJ Harbor & Estuary Program, working across the Hudson-Raritan Estuary and its tributary watersheds in New York and New Jersey.
