Housatonic Riverkeeper

Housatonic Riverkeeper is the Waterkeeper Alliance title held by Tim Gray, executive director of the Housatonic River Initiative, and it shares the Initiative's site. The work is advocacy for a full PCB cleanup of the Housatonic River in Berkshire County, Massachusetts and downstream Connecticut, pushing General Electric and the EPA toward treatment of contaminated sediment rather than landfill disposal. The site documents the settlement and appeals record and carries public education material about the river's contamination.
