Homestead Valley Land Trust protects, maintains, and restores Marin County-owned open space and parkland within Homestead Valley for public enjoyment, wildlife habitat, and wildland fire safety. It manages more than 80 acres of Marin County Open Space District land in the hills around Homestead Valley plus three local parks, Volunteer Park, Stolte Grove, and Three Groves, near Mill Valley, California. Its trail network connects to Mt. Tamalpais State Park and the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, and it removes invasive plants and manages vegetation with the Southern Marin Fire District to reduce wildfire hazard.
