Holden Land Trust

Holden Land Trust is an all-volunteer group that has worked for over twenty years to conserve outdoor spaces and preserve the rural character of Holden, Maine. It secures conservation easements that permanently protect land for agricultural, recreational, and conservation use, and it builds and maintains a hiking trail system that connects to the Fields Pond Audubon Nature Center and passes the historic Bates Homestead. It also runs community outdoor events, including hiking, skiing, snowshoeing, and a 5K trail run, and offers guidance to landowners interested in preserving their land.
