Hoffler Creek Wildlife Foundation Incorporated

Hoffler Creek Wildlife Foundation manages the 142-acre Hoffler Creek Wildlife Preserve in the Churchland area of Portsmouth, Virginia, stewarding the last remaining undeveloped parcel in the Hoffler Creek watershed for conservation, education, research, and passive recreation. The preserve spans a tidal creek and salt marsh, riparian pine and hardwood forest, a native wildflower meadow, and a brackish lake. It is free and open to the public Tuesday through Sunday, and the foundation runs water quality monitoring, oyster restoration, bird walks, and kayak programs.
