Highlands-Cashiers Land Trust

Highlands-Cashiers Land Trust conserves forests, wetlands, and vistas across the Highlands-Cashiers plateau in southern Jackson and Macon Counties, North Carolina, an area sitting at the headwaters of six watersheds. Working since 1909, the nationally accredited trust has conserved more than 4,300 acres, protecting biologically diverse land and rare plant and animal habitat while providing public access to parks and open space. It also stewards its conserved properties and runs education, volunteer, and community partnership programs.
