Hemp4 Water

Hemp4Water is a 501(c)(3) that has spent more than ten years studying how hemp production affects waterways polluted with phosphates and nitrates. It has bred proprietary hemp cultivars that tolerate standing water and take up phosphorus, and works with South Florida State College to estimate how many plants a given lake, pond, or freshwater body needs to reach homeostasis. Founded by Steve Edmonds and based in Melbourne, Florida, it manages freshwater cleanup projects and raises funds for further phytoremediation research.
