Haw Riverkeeper

The Haw Riverkeeper is the advocacy program of the Haw River Assembly, a North Carolina nonprofit founded in 1982 and based in Bynum. The Riverkeeper works to stop pollution in the Haw River and speaks for the river against threats to its water quality. The role includes lobbying for protective legislation, including public 'Lobby With Your Riverkeeper' events, across a ten-county watershed spanning Forsyth, Randolph, Guilford, Rockingham, Caswell, Alamance, Orange, Chatham, Durham, and Wake counties.
