Hardwood Forestry Fund

The Hardwood Forestry Fund has been planting, seeding, and releasing hardwood trees on public land since 1990, under the banner "Forest Management Since 1990". Each spring since 1993 it has partnered with the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources to replant the Two Rock Run wildfire site, putting red oak, black cherry, and white ash into tree shelters with volunteers from Penn ReLeaf, local high schools, and Penn State. Its planting-locations record covers 74 projects and more than 578,000 trees across multiple states, with current work including red oak direct seeding and black walnut planting at the Mt. Hope Recreation Area in Wisconsin.
