Founded in 1961 and describing itself as New Hampshire's oldest local land trust, the Hanover Conservancy is dedicated to conserving land and water and deepening appreciation of natural resources for Hanover, New Hampshire and the surrounding Upper Valley. It stewards more than 700 acres of protected land, including Balch Hill Natural Area and Mink Brook Nature Preserve. Its work spans conservation advocacy, land protection, school and community education programs, and volunteer stewardship days.
