Hank Gianvecchio Natural Habitat Area Foundation

The foundation stewards a 3.5-acre natural habitat area at Lake Street and Rosedale Road in Bloomingdale Township, Illinois, restored with savannah, mesic prairie and wet prairie plantings meant to recall the Illinois landscape of the 1700s. Its stated purpose is educating young people and the general public about the history and benefits of tall grass prairies. It funds site improvements and educational programming, including a memorial brick program installed at the habitat area.
