Hamilton County Urban Conservation Association Inc

The Hamilton County Urban Conservation Association formed in response to rapid habitat loss in Hamilton County, Indiana, and works to promote the conservation, enhancement, and restoration of quality habitat there. Its motto, Think Habitat Not Grass, sums up its core ask: replace mowed turf with native plants and natural habitat, in yards as well as large public spaces. The group publishes guidance on creating habitat, choosing native plants, and attracting wildlife, and profiles local conservation success stories.
