The Hamden Land Conservation Trust is an all-volunteer organization that has preserved open space in Hamden, Connecticut since 1969. It acquires and stewards natural areas including Winterberry Wetlands along the Farmington Canal Trail and the Jepp Brook Preserve, running volunteer restoration workdays and native plant and pollinator education. It also advocates for public access to natural land, including work with the Six Lakes Park Coalition on converting a 102.5-acre former industrial property into a public park.
