Haiti Ocean Conservancy Inc

Haiti Ocean Conservancy, formerly the Amiga Island Ecological Foundation, was started by two Haitian brothers to protect and restore the marine environment of northern Haiti through outreach, education, research, and restoration. It runs Haiti's first active coral restoration effort, operating coral nurseries and out-planting critically endangered staghorn and elkhorn corals, and building artificial reefs. The group also works on sustainable fishing and community education so nearby fishing communities can keep depending on healthy reefs.
