H2 Opendoors

H2OpenDoors installs USEPA-approved water purification systems in rural communities in emerging countries where fresh, uncontaminated water is not available, with a stated focus on reducing infant mortality from waterborne disease. The project is run by board members and volunteers drawn largely from San Francisco Bay Area Rotary clubs, and holds its 501(c)(3) status through the Philanthropic Ventures Foundation of Oakland, California, which serves as its fiscal sponsor. Past and current installations include projects in Guatemala, Ecuador, Kenya, Tanzania, Mexico, India, and Ghana.
