Gunpowder Valley Conservancy

Gunpowder Valley Conservancy works for clean water in the Gunpowder watershed by preserving land, restoring ecosystems, and encouraging people to become environmental stewards. Its programs include land preservation, tree planting, rain barrel distribution, and the Clear Creeks Project on stormwater and pollution prevention. Active since 1989, it covers a 500 square mile watershed spanning York County, Pennsylvania and Baltimore, Carroll, and Harford counties in Maryland, draining to the Chesapeake Bay.
