Gunpowder Riverkeeper defends the Gunpowder, Bush, and Middle River watersheds from environmental threats by holding polluters accountable. Its work includes river patrols, water quality monitoring, permit review, and tracking compliance on sewage, stormwater, and agricultural runoff. The watersheds it covers supply drinking water to the Baltimore metropolitan area and support a tailwater trout fishery and spawning habitat for Chesapeake Bay finfish.
