Gulf Association In

The Gulf Association, Inc. is a nonprofit founded in 1961 to protect the Gulf River, a roughly 500 acre estuary that reaches Massachusetts Bay through Cohasset Harbor and spans Scituate and Cohasset, Massachusetts. It monitors water quality and bacteria levels in the river in partnership with the Center for Student Coastal Research, and publishes guidance on shoreline landscaping and recreational use of the estuary. The organization is based at PO Box 140 in Scituate.
